Governing metric: Heat index (°F) — derived from air temperature and relative humidity if not directly measured
Programmable logic: Triggered at heat index ≥80°F. Five tiers: <80°F none; 80–89°F baseline (60/0); 90–94°F 50/10; 95–99°F 40/20; 100–104°F 30/30; ≥105°F 20/40. Impermeable or double-layer PPE advances to the next higher tier. Paid rest breaks in shade; 1 qt/hr hydration minimum.
