A standard counts as verified when each threshold the engine uses has been located in the governing instrument itself — the decree, regulation, or standards-body table — and matched value for value, with the citation recorded down to the table and page. A secondary source repeating a number is not verification; neither is a plausible number with no located instrument behind it. Where the values check out but the engine feeds the table a different measurement than it is keyed on, that is recorded as its own defect rather than folded into "unverified", because the verification work is already done and the bug is in the plumbing.
