Dz.U. 2019 poz. 1883 (Minister of the Environment regulation of 16 Sep 2019 amending the 2013 regulation on natural hazards in mining plants), §22 ust. 2-4: each underground workstation is classed into one of three climate-hazard grades. Coal mines (ust. 3) by dry-bulb air temperature: grade I above 28 to 31 °C, II above 31 to 33 °C, III above 33 °C. Other mineral mines (ust. 4) by equivalent climate temperature tzk: I above 26 to 30 °C, II above 30 to 32 °C, III above 32 °C.

This rule has no numeric trigger the calculator evaluates — it states duties and control measures rather than a threshold a reading can be checked against. Its measures are listed below.
No standalone formula is published for this standard; see programmable logic and parameters below.

coalDryBulbGradeI | 28 |
coalDryBulbGradeII | 31 |
coalDryBulbGradeIII | 33 |
Programmable logic
airTempC > 28: grade I; > 31: grade II; > 33: grade III (coal mines, ust. 3). Exactly 28, 31 or 33 stays in the lower grade. Classification and screening only: no work/rest or stop-work (stopWork never set).
NOT modelled: non-coal mines (ust. 4) graded by equivalent climate temperature tzk, whose formula was not verified and has no input; the alternative grade-I cooling-intensity criterion (below 11 Kw, wet katathermometer units); the work-time consequences of each grade (not in §22; the dossier points to Dz.U. 2017 poz. 1118 §445b).
Required inputs: airTempC
Optional inputs: none

This standard’s output changed in the reference scenarios, in a form that does not reduce to permitted work minutes (for example a screening limit, risk level, or respirator tier).
