Governing metric: Outdoor dry-bulb air temperature (°F)
Programmable logic: Applies to covered outdoor work. Shade must be present when temperature exceeds 80°F; below 80°F shade must be provided on request. High-heat procedures trigger at ≥95°F for agriculture, construction, landscaping, oil/gas extraction, and transportation/delivery. Always require water, cool-down rest, emergency response, training, and a written plan. No fixed work/rest ratio.
