D.P.R. 320/1956 art. 33 (Limitazione della temperatura in sotterraneo): temperature at underground workplaces is to be kept below 30 °C dry-bulb or 25 °C wet-bulb by ventilation and other means. If not possible, normal work may continue if time underground is at most 6 hours a day and temperature does not exceed 35 °C dry-bulb or 30 °C wet-bulb. Above that, only urgent emergency and rescue work is allowed, with adapted shifts.
