Programmable logic
1-h TWA WBGT <= 30: no reg 201(4) duty. > 30: employer must reduce the index below 30 if practicable. If not practicable and hard manual labour is performed: annual fitness certification by the appointed occupational health practitioner, acclimatization, inform the employee to drink at least 500 ml of water every hour (cool potable water provided), training on heat strain and heat-stroke, and prompt first-aid means.
An inspector decides whether work is hard manual labour. Treated as a screening limit: no work/rest schedule and no stop-work. 'Hard manual labour' is inferred from workload heavy or very heavy; with no workload the hard-labour duties are shown as conditional. Not modelled: the cold-side provisions of reg 201(1)-(3).
Required inputs: wbgtC
